Maryland Live! to host World Poker Tour series stop

For the very first time in the history of the World Poker Tour, the series will be stopping in the state of Maryland. From the 23rd of September to the 25th, the poker tour will take over Maryland Live! Casino and host a solid schedule of poker events. With four mega satellites including a re-entry each starting flight, the series will play host to professionals as well as amateur players.

Day 1A will take place on the 25th with the 26th featuring Day 1B. Day 2 will be September 27th followed by Day 3 and 4 the next two days. Players will begin with a 30,000 chip stack and those who remain will move on to the final table which will finish up on the 29th. Players who do not advance past Day 2 will have the option of one re-entry which will cost $7,500 and take place the day before the final table on the 28th.

The Director of Poker Operations for Maryland Live! is Mike Smith, who stated that the casino is thrilled to have partnered with the WPT to bring one of the biggest poker tours in the world to the casino this September.
